As a direct supply peg, there is always enough BTC in reserve to cover the circulating renBTC supply. The renBTC token is a direct competitor of Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC).
RenBTC is issued on the Ren platform, which is an open protocol that allows anyone to access inter-blockchain liquidity, assisting in the transfer of assets from other blockchains to Ethereum decentralized applications (DApps). Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Zcash are the primary cryptocurrencies supported (ZEC).
